Vice President, Marketing ​/ Advertising ​/ PR

A leading strategic communications consultancy is seeking a Vice President to join its Crisis & Reputation team. (4 days a week in person in NYC Office, 1 day WFH)

This role offers the opportunity to advise senior executives and global organizations during high-stakes situations, helping clients navigate complex communications challenges, protect reputation, and manage risk. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex corporate communications and crisis management assignments across a range of industries and issues, including cybersecurity incidents, regulatory matters, litigation, stakeholder challenges, and reputational crises. Based on the original role, experience in cybersecurity crisis communications is specifically sought.

• Provide strategic counsel and day-to-day support on crisis communications and reputation management assignments.
• Advise clients during sensitive situations involving reputational, operational, legal, regulatory, and business challenges.
• Develop communications strategies, messaging frameworks, media materials, executive communications, speeches, presentations, and other written content.
• Support stakeholder communications initiatives involving employees, customers, investors, regulators, and other key audiences.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Build trusted relationships with client contacts and serve as a key advisor during critical situations.
• Collaborate with legal, financial, and other professional advisors during complex matters.
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and new business opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior team members while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Contribute to firm-building initiatives such as recruiting, training, marketing, thought leadership, and employee development programs.

• Approximately 4-7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, crisis communications, reputation management, or a related field.
• Experience advising clients during cybersecurity incidents, regulatory matters, litigation, executive transitions, operational disruptions, and other reputational crises.
• Demonstrated experience supporting organizations through challenging communications challenges and business-critical events.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with experience producing executive communications, media materials, strategic documents, speeches, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams.
• Familiarity with digital communications, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled tools is a plus.
