Equans North America is seeking a Communication Specialist to join its corporate team in New York City.

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, Communications and M&A, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening both internal and external communications across the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and support strategic initiatives across a fast-growing organization. The role combines communications, marketing, employer branding and ESG engagement, while providing exposure to corporate development and regional growth initiatives.

Equans North America is seeking a Communication Specialist to join its corporate team in New York City.

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, Communications and M&A, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening both internal and external communications across the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and support strategic initiatives across a fast-growing organization. The role combines communications, marketing, employer branding and ESG engagement, while providing exposure to corporate development and regional growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead internal communication initiatives across North America by coordinating campaigns, managing the Ambassador program
  • Develop employee communications, leadership messages, newsletters, and company announcements
  • Create employee spotlight stories, project success stories, and corporate content
  • Support planning and communications for the annual North America Leadership Convention.
  • Support employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
  • Manage employer branding content and create content highlighting major projects, customer successes, innovation initiatives and employee achievements
  • Coordinate communications related to sustainability and ESG reporting, performance indicators and promote success stories and best practices
  • Develop presentations and strategic communication materials, and manager the content for our presence on Linked In and other digital channels
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and brand standards across the organization
Must have Qualifications
  • Experience in an industrial, construction, energy or technical services environment is preferred.
  • 3 to 7 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • -Years experience working in the following industries; construction, engineering, energy & utilities, manufacturing/industrial
  • Ability to work full-time onsite
  • French Language proficiency
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling and content development skills
  • Creative mindset combined with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
  • Experience with Canva, video editing tools or marketing platforms
  • Ability to travel periodically for events, project visits, content development, and Operating Company Collaboration
