Soni is partnered with an established, full-service marketing organization seeking a Group Creative Director / Head of Creative to lead its multidisciplinary creative department.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a conceptually strong, hands-on creative leader who can set the vision, elevate the caliber of the work, develop a large creative organization, and serve as a trusted creative partner to senior clients.
The ideal candidate can move seamlessly between big-picture creative leadership and detailed execution, bringing deep experience across integrated campaigns and production-intensive work.
What You’ll Do:Set the overall creative vision, standards, and direction across a large, multidisciplinary creative organization
Lead, coach, and develop creative leaders and teams across multiple disciplines
Elevate conceptual thinking, craft, consistency, and overall quality of creative work
Lead major integrated campaigns from brief and concept through production and final delivery, serving as the senior creative quality gate for priority work
Oversee creative across brand, direct mail, print, digital, email, social, influencer/creator, video, motion, experiential, and emerging channels
Lead direct mail, print, personalization, versioning, and high-volume communications, balancing creative quality with production feasibility and scalability
Serve as a senior creative advisor to key clients, presenting and defending creative work with a clear connection to strategy and business objectives
Play a significant role in new business pitches, proactive recommendations, and organic account growth
Partner closely with Strategy, Media, Customer Experience, Social, Content, Production, Project Management, Creative Operations, and other cross-functional teams
Oversee department capacity, staffing, freelance resources, budgets, timelines, scope, and delivery
Help evolve creative processes and capabilities, including the thoughtful use of AI and emerging technology to improve concepting, personalization, production, workflow, quality, and speed
What We’re Looking For:15+ years of progressive creative experience, including significant senior leadership within an advertising, marketing, digital, direct marketing, or integrated agency environment
Experience leading a large, full-service, multidisciplinary creative department, including managing and developing senior creative leaders
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level conceptual thinking, craft, and executional excellence across integrated, high-volume, and versioned communications
Proven ability to move between creative vision and hands-on execution
Broad integrated experience across traditional and digital channels
Meaningful direct mail and print experience is essential, including personalization, versioning, and complex production-intensive communications
Proven experience leading senior client presentations, major integrated campaigns, and new business pitches
Strong understanding of creative production across print, direct mail, digital, social, and video, including timelines, cost, scalability, and quality
Experience managing department capacity, budgets, freelance resources, staffing needs, and delivery within scope
Strong understanding of how strategy, data, media, audience insights, culture, and customer experience inform creative work
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, video/motion tools, modern creative workflows, and emerging AI tools
Strong communication, presentation, people leadership, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
Compensation:$200,000 - $240,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
