** OVERVIEW:
** Year Up United is seeking a Director of Corporate Philanthropy to secure annual financial resources at a national and regional level in support of the Year Up United mission and ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Philanthropy**,
** the Director of Corporate Philanthropy is responsible for meeting an annual revenue and cash goal through engagement with corporations (corporate foundations, CSR divisions, and other vehicles) and other potential national sponsors. This role is responsible for leveraging Year Up United’s existing corporate partnerships to maximize engagement, and sourcing new relationships that align with the organization’s strategic priorities.  This individual is responsible for effective identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for local, regional, and national corporate funders in the six-figure+ range to help fuel the organization’s growth.

The Director of Corporate Philanthropy will help implement and iterate our Corporate Changemakers sponsorship program to engage major companies as internship, hiring, volunteer engagement, and philanthropic partners. They will take a holistic approach to partnership creation using a shared value framework to maximize resources and engagement. This individual will also serve as a strategic partner for all levels of corporate philanthropy across the Year Up United network.

The Director of Corporate Philanthropy will at times interact with Year Up United students as a coach, mentor, group facilitator, and advocate, participating in building a positive educational environment.

* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

** Fundraising* Manages portfolio comprised of corporate foundation prospects and donors
* Cultivates, solicits, and stewards existing and new donors in the six- to seven-figure+ range in assigned industries or geographies
* Assists in securing the organization’s annual cash goal
* Operationalize aspects of partnership and corporate giving strategy in partnership with local fundraisers or other colleagues
* Collaborates with Corporate Engagement colleagues in assigned regions to pursue corporate philanthropy or corporate partnership outcomes
* Designs and executes fundraising opportunities or other revenue streams in collaboration with the Senior Director of Corporate Philanthropy, colleagues from YUPRO Placement, Grads of Life, senior leaders, and other functional team leaders
* Participates in Year Up United Selling initiative as active subject matter expert on assigned accounts
* Cultivates relationships with corporate partner staff or corporate foundation program officers and key leadership to successfully secure investments at significant level
* Collaborates with Grants Management team or Revenue Operations colleagues to develop compelling proposals, engagement opportunities, and ensure accurate financial and programmatic reporting
* Represents Year Up United by attending and participating in external meetings and events
* Serves as thought partner regarding philanthropy and policy trends related to workforce development, partnership, and disconnected young adults
* Other duties as assigned

* 7+ years of professional corporate relations, foundations relations and/or individual donor experience, preferably in an entrepreneurial nonprofit environment
* Proven track record prospecting, cultivating, closing and stewarding 6 and 7-figure+ gifts
