The Kiona Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to transforming the future of healthcare by researching novel, plant-based treatment options and supporting families navigating the challenges of cancer. Named in honor of a beloved child lost to brain cancer, our work is rooted in compassion, advocacy, and innovation. We support pioneering clinical research, offer educational programs on natural health and the endocannabinoid system, and provide vital resources to families facing housing insecurity during medical treatment.

The Event Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Kiona Foundation. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work in pediatric cancer research, family support, and community engagement. Volunteers in this role will work closely with a passionate and committed team to advance the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

Expected commitment is 10-12 hrs/week, with flexibility based on availability and project needs. This is a remote volunteer position unless otherwise specified.

• Plan and coordinate logistics for signature events such as the Month of Awareness Gala, Rooftop Mixer, Art Auction, and Family Fun Day.
• Create and manage detailed event timelines, vendor checklists, guest registration, and venue coordination.
• Support speaker and performer scheduling, sponsor activations, volunteer shifts, and on‑site operations.
• Develop post‑event evaluation reports with attendance metrics, expense summaries, and improvement recommendations.

Ideal candidates will be self‑motivated, mission‑aligned, and capable of working independently in a collaborative, virtual environment.
