To Proudly Go Inc. began with as an idea to support the LGBTQIA+ community through our donation partnerships with organizations working on queer issues that help build a better world today. We celebrate science fiction, like Star Trek, to show that through the generosity and compassion of the human spirit we can achieve a future where we can all succeed through unity and purpose, expand our knowledge, and improve the human condition.

Since we began on March 1, 2021, we’ve been proud to raise over $15,000.00 for charity.

About To Proudly Go

To Proudly Go Inc. is dedicated to creating safe and supportive spaces that celebrate science fiction, promote the LGBTQIA+ community, and partner with important community causes to empower and foster a kinder and better world. To Proudly Go began with an idea to support the LGBTQIA+ community through donations to organizations working on the front lines of advocacy, legal support, health care access, and community services.

Through live entertainment, community events, and partnerships, To Proudly Go raises funds, awareness, and visibility for these critical efforts.

Position Overview

The Community Engagement Coordinator is an entry-level volunteer role that supports the successful execution of To Proudly Go events and initiatives. This role serves as a visible representative of the organization and plays a critical part in event operations, performer coordination, community engagement, and fundraising activities. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in nonprofit operations, events, arts administration, or community organizing while contributing meaningfully to To Proudly Go’s mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend volunteer meetings, briefings, and event-related planning sessions as scheduled and available
  • Represent To Proudly Go professionally and positively at events, performances, and community engagements
  • Assist with coordinating performers and other volunteer staff before, during, and after events
  • Operate, staff, and manage the To Proudly Go merchandise table at events, including setup and breakdown
  • Solicit, collect, and accurately track donations in accordance with organizational policies
  • Capture event photography and video content, as available, to support communications, documentation, and promotion efforts
  • Provide on-site event support to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming environment for performers, partners, and attendees
  • Assist organizational leadership with projects, administrative tasks, or special initiatives when requested and when availability allows
  • Uphold To Proudly Go’s values, code of conduct, and community standards at all times
Skills And Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort engaging with the public, performers, and community partners
  • Ability to follow direction while also taking initiative when appropriate
  • Basic organizational and time-management skills
  • Interest in nonprofit work, community engagement, performing arts, or LGBTQIA+ advocacy
  • Photography or video experience is a plus but not required
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset are essential
Time Commitment

This is a volunteer position with a flexible commitment that varies based on event schedules and organizational needs. Volunteers are encouraged to communicate availability clearly and in advance whenever possible.
