Associate Pastor / MC Director

Location: Adirondack Bible Chapel Reports To: Senior Pastor and Elders Employment Type: Full-Time (40–45 hours weekly)

Position Summary

The Associate Pastor / Director serves as a bridge between Adirondack Bible Chapel and the Residential Ministry Center, ensuring unity, shared mission, and biblical health across all ministries. This position provides pastoral leadership and directional oversight for the residential discipleship home, sets spiritual vision, develops staff and leaders, and ensures that all ministries operate cohesively and biblically.

This leader focuses on pastoral care, preaching support, leadership development, and ministry vision
, while overseeing the Discipleship & Operations Manager
, who oversees daily operations and residential management of the home.

This role requires both compassionate spiritual leadership and strong organizational management to ensure that every ministry of the church and discipleship home reflects the mission, vision, and values of Adirondack Bible Chapel.

Key Responsibilities Pastoral Leadership & Church Ministry
  • Work with the Senior Pastor to provide pastoral care, counseling, and shepherding for the congregation and MC Residents.
  • Support the preaching and teaching ministry through occasional sermons, Bible studies, and small group leadership.
  • Oversee church discipleship pathways and leadership development programs.
  • Foster unity and alignment between the church and Ministry Center teams.
  • Support outreach and community engagement efforts to invite others into the life of the church and the ministry.
Ministry Center Direction & Oversight
  • Provide spiritual vision and overall direction for the Residential Discipleship Home.
  • Supervise the MC staff and volunteers and provide pastoral support to staff and residents.
  • Ensure all ministry programs align with biblical principles, safety standards, and the mission of Adirondack Bible Chapel.
  • Lead and develop discipleship and counseling strategies that guide residents toward Christ-centered transformation.
  • Approve new residents.
  • Hold regular staff meetings and MC Team meetings.
  • Mentor and disciple ministry leaders, interns, and volunteers.
  • Build a healthy, Christ-centered team culture across the church and the Ministry Center.
  • Provide regular spiritual direction and staff training to ensure all ministries operate from shared values and vision.
Administration & Representation
  • Oversee the Ministry Center’s strategic direction, budget, and long‑term goals in partnership with the Elders.
  • Represent the ministry to churches, donors, and the community through communication, speaking engagements, and relationship‑building.
Qualifications
  • Mature, biblically grounded Christian with a clear call to pastoral ministry.
  • Experience in pastoral leadership, discipleship, or Christian counseling.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in theology, ministry, or counseling.
  • Excellent communicator, able to teach, preach, and counsel effectively.
  • Agreement with the mission, vision, and statement of faith of Adirondack Bible Chapel.
  • This is a hands‑on ministry role requiring presence in both the church and the residential home; the position may involve living on‑site or being available to respond to after‑hours needs and crises.
  • Regular office hours with some evening and weekend responsibilities.
  • Participate fully in all church services and church-related activities.
Benefits

Salary: $44,000 – $50,000. A three‑bedroom apartment is provided in the Lodge.
