The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH), a leader in advancing food and health equity, seeks a dynamic and results-driven Individual Giving Manager to lead and grow our individual donor program.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to acquire, retain, and upgrade individual donors across all giving levels—from grassroots supporters to mid-level and select major donors. The Individual Giving Manager will play a key role in strengthening TCAH’s annual fund, expanding donor engagement, and building a sustainable pipeline for long-term philanthropic growth.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive individual giving strategy, including annual appeals, digital campaigns, and donor acquisition initiatives
- Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors (entry level through mid level, with select major donor engagement)
- Design and execute multichannel fundraising campaigns (email, direct mail, digital, and peer-to-peer)
- Analyze donor data and giving trends to inform strategy and optimize performance
- Build meaningful relationships with individual donors through personalized engagement strategies
- Oversee donor stewardship efforts, including acknowledgments, impact reporting, and ongoing communications
- Develop tailored cultivation plans to upgrade donors into higher giving levels
- Support the development of compelling donor-facing materials, including appeals, proposals, and reports
- Identify and qualify new donor prospects to expand TCAH’s base of support
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of midlevel donors and emerging major donors
- Partner with leadership to transition qualified donors into major gift portfolios when appropriate
- Work closely with program and communications teams to align messaging with impact and funding priorities
- Collaborate on storytelling, donor communications, and digital engagement strategies
- Support fundraising events and donor engagement opportunities, including cultivation events and site visits
- Engage community stakeholders in supporting TCAH’s initiatives through philanthropy
- Track and report on key fundraising metrics, including donor retention, acquisition, and revenue growth
- Maintain accurate donor records and engagement tracking in CRM systems
- Monitor progress toward revenue goals and adjust strategies as needed
- Meet or exceed established fundraising targets set by the CEO and CDO and performance metrics
- Write accurate and compelling donor reports aligned with requirements, incorporating strong narratives
- Track and report on revenue goals, individual gifts pipeline, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in partnership with TCAH’s executive leadership
- Plan, organize, and manage small to midscale donor cultivation events and other engagement activities, showcasing TCAH’s impact
- Attend donor tours, conferences, and events to promote TCAH’s mission and strengthen donor relationships
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 46 years of experience in individual giving, annual fund, or related fundraising roles
- Demonstrated success in managing donor programs and meeting revenue targets
- Experience in nonprofit or social services sector strongly preferred
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire donors
- Proven relationship‑building skills across diverse donor groups
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

- Salary range: $95,000 – $110,000, commensurate with experience
