Location: New York
Part‑time Volunteer Coordinator – Jazz for Peace – New York, NY
The role involves coordinating volunteers, tracking zip codes, inviting nonprofit organizations to apply for JFP grants, and maintaining communication with JFP staff. Preferred 6‑month commitment, minimum 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Keep track of zip codes used by volunteers.
- Coordinate with Jazz for Peace on selecting next zip codes.
- Send invitations to nonprofit and charitable organizations within targeted zip codes.
- Follow‑up with organizations to answer questions.
- Supervise volunteer work and maintain contact with JFP staff.
- Assist in finding good causes by zip code and sending internship letters to schools and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
