Location: New York

Location: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Compensation: $30–$40/hour, depending on experience

Duration: Temporary assignment through end of year

About the Opportunity

Our nonprofit client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager, Development & Events to support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement efforts, and event execution. This individual will play a key role in coordinating high-profile fundraising events, donor cultivation activities, athletic fundraising programs, and community engagement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in nonprofit fundraising, event planning, or development operations who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events, galas, donor receptions, and community engagement programs
  • Create and manage event registration pages and microsites
  • Coordinate guest lists, donation tracking, and event logistics
  • Manage procurement, tracking, and fulfillment of auction items, raffle prizes, sponsorship benefits, and event materials
  • Maintain event documentation, schedules, credential access, and onsite materials
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for speakers, special guests, and team members as needed
  • Provide onsite event support and assist with event setup and execution
Development Operations
  • Support donor stewardship efforts, gift processing, acknowledgments, and donor communications
  • Assist with maintaining fundraising databases and donor records
  • Manage event and organizational inventory, including promotional materials and event supplies
  • Maintain organizational calendars and support ongoing development initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with staff, volunteers, and leadership on fundraising projects and special initiatives
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, development, events, or project management
  • Nonprofit experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with donor CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Familiarity with fundraising platforms and email marketing tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
    Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Flexible schedule with occasional evening or weekend event support as needed
