Outreach Worker Jamaica Older Adult Center – Queens Community House (QCH)
About the Role The Jamaica Older Adult Center is seeking a part-time Outreach Worker to help connect more older adults to our programs through creative, community-based outreach. This role focuses on engaging residents from diverse backgrounds and values bilingual communication as an important tool to build trust, foster inclusion, and strengthen community connection.

Success in this role means helping at least 20 older adults each month gain meaningful access to community and enriching programs at the Jamaica Older Adult Center. The shared goal is to ensure our older adult neighbors are actively engaged, connected, and thriving through QCH programs.

Key Responsibilities Conduct community outreach to promote older adult programs and services

Build and maintain relationships with residents, community partners, and local organizations

Support inclusive engagement efforts across diverse language communities

Represent QCH in the community with professionalism and cultural sensitivity

Qualifications

Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply (all languages welcome)
Passion for working directly with older adults and the broader community

Strong communication skills with the ability to take initiative and follow through

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Schedule & Compensation Part-Time, 20 hours per week $20 per hour About Queens Community House (QCH)
