Queens Herald Church, C&MA is a multi‑generational family‑oriented church in Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY, serving over 500 Chinese and English‑speaking congregants.

• Position Summary:
  
  QHC seeks a visionary leader who is forward‑thinking, courageous, and team‑oriented. The Senior Pastor will be the staff’s champion, caring for, developing, empowering and holding accountable a high‑performing team. The role involves leading the church to experience life‑change, expanding the Gospel impact in homes, the community, and beyond. The Senior Pastor will collaborate with congregational pastors, maintain unity, model sound character, spiritual maturity, relational communication, and a willingness to have fun.

  • Leadership
    • Clear vocational calling into pastoral ministry
    • Track record of self‑leadership that will transfer into team leadership:
      • Seeking God’s voice and communicating His assignment for QHC through inspirational vision‑casting, sound presentation of God’s word, and leading creative means to maximize Gospel impact.
      • Care and development of the staff and Church lay leaders through meaningful conversations, encouragement, and empowerment.
      • Building and maintaining healthy team dynamics, addressing tensions/conflict, mediating conflict, and championing trust of God and one another.
      • Sound decision making & strategic planning.
    • Spiritual guidance and leadership in coaching, mentoring, counseling and support
  • Character & Spiritual Maturity
    • Trustworthiness, high moral character, and integrity
    • Pastoral care with compassion, empathy, and wisdom
    • Intimate relationship with God and continual personal development
    • Family and marriage in order (if married)
  • Experience & Credibility
    • Ordained with a Master of Divinity or equivalent
    • Committed to being accredited and licensed with the C&MA
    • At least 10 years of pastoral experience overseeing ministries and leading staff team and leaders
    • Supervised administration and management of large or medium church operations

    • Effective and strong communication skills
    • Sensitivity to ethnic and multi‑generational needs of the Church
    • Ability to preach and teach the Word of God through sound theological knowledge and lead in prayer in Cantonese and English
    • Experience in church‑wide spiritual warfare and growth
• Licensing Requirement:
  The position requires licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance. Candidates must be accredited and licensed with the C&MA.
