Volunteer & Donor Engagement Coordinator
LSA Family Health Service is seeking a dynamic, relationship-focused Volunteer & Donor Engagement Coordinator to expand and strengthen volunteer engagement and corporate partnerships in support of our mission to empower children, families, seniors, and the East Harlem community. LSA leverages the power of volunteers who help programs thrive, their collective efforts adding up to $1.1 million in revenue annually. This role emphasizes the importance of strong community relations and increasing resources.
The Coordinator will recruit, manage, and steward individual volunteers, corporate volunteer groups, schools, faith-based organizations, and community partners. This position plays a key role in creating meaningful volunteer experiences, building long-term partnerships, and increasing community engagement and philanthropic support for LSA programs.
Your morning begins by cultivating relationships with individual volunteers and corporate donors to expand our network and get the word out about upcoming events. By midday, you are helping to plan and coordinate high-impact volunteer events that leverage these partnerships and strengthen the East Harlem community. You close out your day focused on data management by creating and evaluating reports that will help the team show gratitude and grow LSA's volunteer base.
The location:
This is a full-time in person position at our Center in East Harlem with some travel to other sites in the neighborhood and occasional travel to other sites in New York City for events, training and collaboration with partner organizations.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Volunteer recruitment & management:
Coordinate the intake and activities of new and existing volunteers. - Corporate & community partnership:
Leverage partnerships through community events and activities. - Event coordination:
Assist in planning and executing events with volunteers. - Stewardship & volunteer recognition:
Develop ways to show gratitude to partners and collect testimonials; support retention of volunteers. - Data management & reporting:
Maintain volunteer data and conduct reports on collected engagement metrics. - Development team collaboration:
Work with the team to advance volunteers to donors or sponsors; support on resource building initiatives.
