ABOUT TINA'S WISH
Know Early. Know Hope.
Tina's Wish is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding groundbreaking scientific research for the early detection and prevention of ovarian cancer and providing critical gynecologic health education. Tina's Wish was founded in memory of the Honorable Tina Brozman, former chief judge of the SDNY Bankruptcy Court who died two years after she was diagnosed - too late - with ovarian cancer.
Since its inception in 2007, Tina's Wish has raised more than $34 million and is currently awarding $2.4 million annually in private grants for cutting‑edge research. With its education and awareness platform, What to Know Down Below, Tina's Wish provides vital resources, support, and information to help increase awareness about ovarian cancer and other gynecologic health topics to empower individuals.
THE ROLE
Tina's Wish is seeking an Events Associate to join a team that plans and executes a robust portfolio of fundraising and cultivation events annually. This position will be an integral part of a dynamic and fast‑paced development team producing special events in NYC, Boston, Richmond, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston.
The role demands both sides of the events craft. It calls for the tactical rigor to run a complex event portfolio, including timelines, vendors, budgets, logistics, flawless day‑of execution, and the operational backbone that keeps it all connected (guest data, RSVPs, website updates, post‑event reconciliation). It also calls for the creative instinct to shape how each event feels for donors, from the arc of the evening to the small touches that make guests feel personally valued.
This role also serves as a key liaison to our volunteer event committees, partnering with accomplished leaders and providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to successfully fundraise, cultivate new relationships, and expand the reach of Tina's Wish. The ideal candidate is polished, responsive, and highly professional, with the ability to take initiative, build trust, communicate confidently, and represent the foundation with warmth and credibility.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in nonprofit fundraising events who has a demonstrated track record of flawless execution, cares deeply about the design of a donor experience, brings warmth to relationships with donors and volunteer leaders, and is ready to help a rapidly growing foundation deepen its relationships with its community.

On event day, serve as a key on‑site presence: running registration, guiding volunteers, and owning the logistics that make each event feel seamless to donors, from invitation lists and seating to vendor coordination and run‑of‑show.
- Operational Support & Reporting: Own the operational backbone of the events function - maintaining accurate guest and donor data, updating event‑related pages on the Foundation's website, tracking RSVPs and attendance, and completing post‑event reconciliation of revenue, expenses, and attendance data. Prepare summary reports for the senior team to inform planning for future events.
- Donor Relations: Support donor stewardship in connection with special events, working alongside the event coordinators and database team. Track progress against annual and event‑specific fundraising goals, oversee donor acknowledgments, and partner with Event Committees to help drive fundraising success.
