The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to eradicating homelessness amongst our veterans.

This role supports fundraising, sponsorship sales, and participant engagement for the National Run & Climb Series. The position assists with outreach materials, peer-to-peer fundraising, sponsor and fundraiser stewardship, recruitment efforts, and performance reporting while collaborating with internal teams to help meet revenue goals and enhance participant satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of new materials for fundraising outreach and sponsorship for the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Steward relationships with fundraising teams for the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Support in the stewarding of relationships with event sponsors related to the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Run weekly reports on fundraising and recruitment for active events.
  • Assist with the planning of events/meetings for the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Support the development and implementation of a recruitment plan for the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Work with the internal marketing team on social media, event emails, and identifying impactful stories for media.
  • Build and foster relationships with our corporate sponsors related to the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Responsible for selling sponsor ships.
  • Develop corporate recruitment plans with respect to the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Build a network of meaningful relationships/partnerships engaged in the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Planning, implementing, and meeting annual revenue/fundraising goals, within the scope of the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Ensures effective stewardship of key volunteer and fundraiser relationships engaged in the National Run & Climb Series.
  • Analyze participant survey results and ensure a strategy to increase participant satisfaction is developed and implemented.
  • A strategic thinker providing positive and proactive solutions to fundraising-related challenges and opportunities.
  • The knowledge and demonstrated ability to successfully identify, cultivate, recruit, and maintain relationships with top-level fundraisers.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in developing and managing relationships with donors, prospects, or sponsors.
  • Understand the market and perspective of donors, fundraisers, and sponsors. An ability to stay current on strategies and trends within development/fundraising.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of fundraising or stewardship experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to relate to individuals at varying levels internally and externally.
  • Specific experience stewarding and cultivating donors and alumni is a plus.
  • Outcome-driven; strong project management ability.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask multiple projects and supervise personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite (or equivalent).
  • Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.
