Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation (KCCF) has helped hundreds of kids with cancer and their families overcome the physical, emotional and financial challenges of treatment. The foundation is a fast‑growing startup that provides life‑saving financial and emotional support to children battling cancer and their families.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a volunteer who can develop strategies that significantly increase donations from individual and corporate donors. The volunteer will coach our Executive Director on fundraising and grant‑writing strategy, review our 2023 plan and 3‑year history, and provide fresh ideas and advice on where to invest our energy. We have a detailed fundraising plan ready for review and will be able to execute your ideas immediately.
Responsibilities- Coach the Executive Director on fundraising and grant‑writing strategy.
- Review the organization’s three‑year history and 2023 plan and develop new ideas and action items for future initiatives.
- Assist in bringing in new leads and sponsors for the organization.
- Guide solicitation of cash or in‑kind donations or sponsor ships from individuals, businesses (including employee‑gift matching) and government donors; develop fundraising programs.
- Help expand and manage the donor database.
- Collaborate with the volunteer fundraising team and the upcoming part‑time junior employee to execute the plan.
Experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing and donor cultivation is preferred. Strong strategic thinking, communication and coaching skills are required.
