Based in the New York region with approximately 14-15 days of East Coast travel per month Salary: $100,000-$107,500 + exceptional benefits through The Claremont Colleges, including generous educational assistance.

About this role:
As the Major Gifts Officer for the East Coast territory, you will serve as a key frontline fundraiser responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with Scripps College's most generous supporters. Reporting to the Director of Development and Major Gifts, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 125-150 major and leadership gift prospects, developing long-term strategies that inspire transformational philanthropy.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced relationship-builder who enjoys working independently while collaborating with senior leadership, advancement colleagues, and volunteers to secure gifts that have a lasting impact on future generations of Scripps students.
Your Contribution Will Likely IncludeMajor Gift Fundraising & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute strategic, multi-year cultivation plans for a portfolio of approximately 125-150 major and leadership gift prospects.
- Secure major gifts ranging from $25,000 to $500,000+, while helping build the pipeline for leadership, planned, and principal gifts.
