NYIC VISTAs are Ameri Corps VISTAs who - through the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) - engage in a year of full-time paraprofessional service at a nonprofit host organization, where they work on capacity-building projects that support their host in being able to provide anti-poverty programs and services to immigrant community members.

The New York Immigration Coalition, a state-wide, member-led, coalition of immigrant and refugee organizations, works to transform the lives of all New Yorkers by strengthening and building our members’ power, organizing and educating our communities and the public, and using our collective voice to advocate for opportunity and justice. VISTA
ACTIVITIES:
The NYIC VISTA, Community Engagement, placed at the NYIC Buffalo office in Western New York, will support in updating and creating new community education curriculum, resources, outreach plans, partnerships and tracking systems for the NYIC Community Engagement staff located in the region. SERVICE

NYIC Buffalo Office, 135 Delaware Ave, Suite 410, Buffalo NY 14202. LIVING ALLOWANCE: $24,962.35
