Position Summary

The Coordinator of Adult Ministry provides administrative, operational, and logistical leadership for Redeemer East Side's Adult Ministry. This role supports Community Groups, Affinity Groups, Collectives, Teaching, and ministry systems (PCO, Slack, Zoom, Skedda, etc.) by coordinating events, managing communications and registrations, maintaining ministry workflows and databases, tracking key metrics, and ensuring the effective execution of ministry gatherings. Working closely with the Director of Community Life, Director of Teaching, and RES ministry leaders, the Coordinator helps create organized, welcoming, and effective environments where adults can find belonging, grow in discipleship, build meaningful relationships, and engage in the life of the church.

Key Responsibilities Community Groups (10 hrs/week)
  • Serve as the primary administrative coordinator for Community Groups.
  • Manage proactive communication with prospective and current Community Group participants, as well as attendees of connecting events like CG Basics, New Leader Training, and newcomer events.
  • Coordinate logistics for Community Group leader trainings (Cultivate, Living Room Sessions), CG meetings onsite, and related events.
  • Submit communication requests to the Manager of Communications in a timely manner to support newsletters, social media, website updates, and Sunday announcements.
  • Create and manage registrations for Community Groups through the church website and Planning Center.
Other Groups & Collectives (10 hrs/week)
  • Provide administrative support for the ongoing operations of Affinity Groups, Support Groups, and Collectives.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of Affinity Groups, Support Groups, Collectives, and related Community Life initiatives and events.
  • Manage registrations and participant communication for Affinity Groups, Support Groups, Collectives, and ministry events.
  • Coordinate catering, food orders, and hospitality logistics for meetings, gatherings, and special events.
  • Support ministry leaders with scheduling, resource preparation (handouts, supplies, etc.), and administrative coordination (A/V, microphones, etc.).
  • Coordinate operational logistics for programming and events (classes, bible studies, social events, etc.), ensuring spaces, materials, and systems are prepared.
  • Track participation, engagement, and ministry outcomes for Affinity Groups, Support Groups, and Collectives to inform future planning and ministry effectiveness.
Christian Education & Classes (10 hrs/week)
  • Coordinate the implementation of Class offerings, including classes, cohorts, and discipleship initiatives.
  • Manage communication with prospective, current, and former class participants.
  • Create and maintain online registrations for classes and educational events.
  • Partner with instructors to edit, prepare, and print class materials.
  • Build surveys and collect participant feedback to evaluate effectiveness and improve future offerings.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and ministry outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Manager to promote upcoming classes and educational opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Teaching to ensure all educational offerings support the church's discipleship strategy and ministry values.
