Blue Deer Center is seeking a dedicated and inspired Center Director to help steward our spiritual retreat center nestled in the Catskill Mountains of New York.

Rooted in nature and guided by wisdom traditions, Blue Deer Center offers retreats, ceremonies, educational programs, and healing experiences that support transformation, connection, and spiritual growth. We are looking for someone who can help care for this special place while supporting its long-term sustainability and mission.

The Center Director serves as the primary steward of daily operations, retreat hospitality, community relationships, staff and volunteer coordination, and property management. This position combines practical leadership with a deep respect for the sacred purpose of the Center.

Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, retreat leaders, volunteers, and guests, the Center Director helps ensure that every aspect of Blue Deer Center reflects our mission, values, and commitment to creating meaningful experiences of healing and transformation.

• Ensuring compliance, safety, and organizational effectiveness
• Helping cultivate a culture of respect, collaboration, and stewardship
• Building relationships with the local community
• Promoting our center as a place to experience connection and healing

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• Retreat center or hospitality management
• Nonprofit leadership and administration
• Community building and volunteer coordination
• Event and program management
• Facilities oversight and land stewardship

• Honor the Sacred

This position is based onsite at Blue Deer Center in Margaretville, New York, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.

Compensation is based on experience, housing arrangements, and scope of responsibilities. Housing may be included.
