Brooklyn & Staten Island, NY

* Hours:

Mon-Fri 8.5hr shifts between 7:30am-6pm  Organization:
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)**##
** In This Role, You Will:**
* ** Update and maintain the electronic medical record with up to date vital signs, patient demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies and medical diagnoses**
* ** Manage Physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks assigned via the electronic medical record**
* ** Assist in maintaining the medical inventory;  place orders for new materials and stock rooms to ensure adequate supplies for physician staff**
* ** Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments**
* ** Escort patients to exam rooms**
* ** Provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets**
* ** Assist physician with exams and/or procedures**
* ** Prepare and administer Injections**
* ** Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens**
* ** Perform point of care lab testing**
* ** Perform EKGs**
* ** Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error**
* ** Must be willing and able to float throughout our Staten Island and Brooklyn Locations**##
** We Require:**
* ** Current NYS LPN license required.**
* ** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.**
* ** Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.**
* ** Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.**
* ** Experience with EMR’s**
* ** Reliable transportation to any of NYCBS location for patient care needs**##

Starting at  $35.75 per hour based on experience**
