Hiring Wage/Salary Range
$24.00 - $25.50/hour
- Delivery of health care services to students under the supervision of an RN or provider in accordance with NYS Education law Section 6902.
- Efficient and accurate rooming of patients, documentation of vital signs, review of medication/allergy lists, and other screenings per clinic policy.
- Post-visit support including student education and follow-up calls with provider supervision.
- Provide accurate and effective supervised triage and administration/documentation of ordered vaccines or medications.
- Maintain stock of clinical areas and support specific supervised clinics (e.g., allergy shot, immunization clinics).
- Uphold confidentiality of all health records and practice management systems.
- Rotate weekend coverage as required (Saturday 9 am–1 pm).
- Must possess current New York State licensure and registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at time of application.
- Maintenance of required certifications:
New York State licensure; BLS/AED healthcare professional certification; CPR; annual OSHA and blood borne pathogen training. - Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment; meet deadlines; anticipate team needs; and deliver outcomes.
- Proficiency with current medical office technologies; ability to balance multiple requests and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in a medical office environment working with student populations.
- Experience with EMR software, Google Suite, and Excel.
- Experience fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for students with physical and mental health challenges.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; ability to work with a broad spectrum of identities.
Completion of an accredited LPN program and current NYS license.
CertificationsMaintenance of NYS licensure and BLS/AED certification; ongoing OSHA and blood borne pathogen training.
Work ScheduleWeekdays with occasional weekends.
