The Unit Manager oversees the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and effective staff supervision. This role serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff while promoting a safe, resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the unit
- Ensure delivery of quality care in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Monitor resident conditions and participate in care planning
- Oversee documentation, physician orders, and medication administration
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Address resident and family concerns
- Participate in quality assurance and survey readiness efforts
- Active RN license in good standing
- 2+ years of nursing experience; long-term care preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
