Schedule: 3x12s | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Every Other Weekend)
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehabilitation to join a high-acuity inpatient rehab unit in New York City. This role is ideal for nurses with strong experience caring for patients with spinal cord injuries (SCI), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and mechanical ventilation needs in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
- Patient population includes SCI, TBI, and complex rehab cases
- Fast-paced, patient-centered rehabilitation setting
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on plan of care, recovery, and discharge planning
- Perform purposeful rounding and prioritize patient safety and quality outcomes
- Provide patient-centered care with compassion, professionalism, and clear communication
- Support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and compliance standards
- Accurately document care and patient progress using the electronic medical record
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
- Support patient throughput and efficient unit operations
- Active New York State RN License
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- At least 2 years of Rehab experience
, including: - Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI)
- Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)
- Mechanical ventilation
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- 1 year travel experience required for travel roles (Not required for per diem positions)
- BSN preferred
- ADN considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program
- Travel Pay: $2,240/week ($64.93/hour
) - Local Pay: $55.00/hour
