Schedule:
Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery) in Staten Island, NY for our client. This hospital-based role provides comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and hospital protocols. You will collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe deliveries, fetal monitoring, and high-quality maternal and newborn outcomes.
Responsibilities- Labor & Delivery Care: Provide direct nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum for vaginal and cesarean births.
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Perform continuous maternal and fetal assessments, including electronic fetal monitoring, vital signs, and pain management.
- Care Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Medication & Treatment Administration: Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Emergency Response & Documentation: Respond to obstetric emergencies and maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York required.
- Experience: Prior Labor & Delivery or maternity nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting required.
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, with Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) preferred.

Demonstrated competency in fetal monitoring, obstetric assessments, labor support, and emergency response. - Skills & Attributes: Calm, detail-oriented clinician with strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills, capable of delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
