The RN Unit Supervisor will oversee clinical operations on an assigned unit, ensuring high‑quality resident care and compliance with regulatory standards. This position blends clinical expertise, staff mentorship, and operational oversight in a fast‑paced skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day‑to‑day clinical operations of the nursing staff including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure all nursing staff adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols to deliver high‑quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Coordinate and direct patient care, including patient assessments and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvement strategies as needed.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and administration to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- Promote a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement within the nursing team.
- Handle and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
- Current RN license (active and in good standing)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team management skills
- Familiarity with EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
