Director of Nursing – Nursing Excellence
New York, NY | $180,000 – $213,074
A major NYC health system is seeking a Director of Nursing – Nursing Excellence to lead initiatives focused on advancing nursing practice, quality outcomes, and national nursing recognitions including Magnet and Pathway to Excellence.
This is a high-impact leadership role partnering with executive nursing leadership to strengthen nursing culture, evidence-based practice, and professional development across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead nursing excellence initiatives and designation efforts (Magnet, Pathway, Beacon)
- Drive quality improvement and monitor nursing-sensitive indicators
- Analyze clinical outcomes and staff engagement data
- Collaborate with nursing leadership on safety, culture, and professional practice initiatives
- Support accreditation submissions and recognition programs
- Active NY RN license
- Master’s in Nursing required
- Experience supporting Magnet, Pathway to Excellence, or similar nursing designation programs
- Strong background in quality improvement, nursing excellence, and data-driven practice
