About the Role
As the only global provider of commercial solutions, IQVIA helps biopharma companies bring medicines to patients by delivering national and international insights and access. In this role, you will support our pharmaceutical and biotech clients as a field nurse educator, providing education to patients with chronic diseases about their prescribed medications.
The Nurse Educator Program is an educational‑based program that serves patients living with chronic diseases. Nurse Educators facilitate patients’ education, providing information on disease states, medication usage, and support resources. Patients are contacted via in‑person visits, telephone, video platforms, email, and SMS strictly following program guidelines. Nursing advice or clinical services are not provided in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate the connection between patients and program‑approved, patient‑based resources.
- Provide direct educational training to patients on specific disease states and assigned medication.
- Support multiple disease states and medications as needed.
- Deliver patient‑focused education to promote behavioral change and improve treatment compliance.
- Foster appropriate dialogue between patients and health‑care providers.
- Bachelor's degree and/or BSN preferred.
- RN licensure required in the state of residency; compact multi‑state license available as per state.
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Minimum 5+ years clinical experience in healthcare (hospital, home health, pharmaceutical, or biotech).
- Nurse educator experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Live in the designated territory as determined by the business.
- Direct interaction with patients and support for persistence and compliance.
- Knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology.
- Demonstrated time‑management, planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Strong presentation, motivational, and interpersonal (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to develop, follow, and execute plans independently.
- Ability to build positive relationships internally and externally.
- Adaptability to changing work environments and responsibilities.
- Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and iPad technology.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings; travel up to 60–70%.
- Dedicated home workspace.
- Must be fully vaccinated if required by client compliance.
Salary: $95,000–$100,000 annually (base pay) plus a car allowance and potential bonus. Additional compensation and benefits may be offered.
