About the Role
Responsible for practicing medicine under physician supervision, conducting examinations, writing prescriptions, and providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services within a physician‑assistant relationship.
What You’ll Be Doing- Conduct physical examinations, assess health status, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications, treat illnesses, administer injections, and suture wounds.
- Consult with physicians as needed and refer more complex cases outside the scope of practice.
- Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care.
- Triage patient calls, evaluate problems, and respond to emergencies including CPR.
- Counsel patients/families on preventive health care.
- Document patient information in the medical record and maintain departmental statistical database for research, if required.
- Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
- Four years of health‑care experience prior to applying to a PA program, plus at least one year of PA experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
- Valid New York State license.
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
- Computer skills for use of electronic medical records and related information systems.
The employee must frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift up to 10lb and occasionally lift up to 25lb.
Work EnvironmentProfessional office environment using standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines).
TravelPrimarily local during business hours; occasional out‑of‑area and overnight travel may be expected.

Salary Range$99,360.00 – $ per year, varying by experience, education, and location.
