Hours:

5/8.5 hour days, Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

• Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.
• Monitor and chart vital signs and document in the medication administration record.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
• Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol.
• Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness.
• Teach patients and caregivers regarding treatment expectations.
• Monitor patient status during the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.
• Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.
• Educate patients and caregivers about follow up care and emergency services.

• Valid New York State RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with an EMR (preferred).
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching.
• Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to use appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs.

Salary:
Starting at $52 per hour.
