Job Description

Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in support of, and as directed by, the physician. Observes, conducts, and documents a thorough assessment of patient’s medical status during the entire course of treatment.

• Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in support of, and as directed by, the physician.
• Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
• Observes, conducts, and documents a thorough assessment of patient’s medical status during the entire course of treatment.
• Perform assigned back‑office duties and rotate as a telephone triage nurse in an efficient and professional manner.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures.
• Perform related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or of a Nursing Vocational or Nursing Technical school, required.
• Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in New York State required.
• Specialized certifications as needed.
