About This Role
The Head Nurse-Ambulatory Care at NYC Health and Hospitals is responsible for directing the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients within the assigned unit. This role is ideal for experienced nursing professionals looking to lead and innovate in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Highlights- Pay: $112,776/year
- Location: New York, NY
- Facility: Bellevue
- Department/Unit: Surgical Clinic
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:00 A.M – 7:30 P.M)
- Direct the development and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
- Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients.
- Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes.
- Interpret and report patient responses to the health team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan patient care programs.
- Assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel.
- Provide teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel.
- Participate in defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice.
- Conduct conferences for developing nursing care plans and promoting staff development.
Experience as a Head Nurse preferred.
Licenses & CertificationsValid New York State RN License required.
Additional Compensation- Annual education differential for degrees in nursing or allied health disciplines.
