The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Gastro/Infusion) position involves providing comprehensive patient’s care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and leadership within a healthcare team.

• Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems.
• Develop and document individualized patient care plans.
• Coordinate care activities and prioritize tasks to achieve expected outcomes.
• Implement and monitor the plan of care, ensuring safety and effective treatment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to execute treatment regimens.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients on drug interactions.
• Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and document outcomes.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in a BSN program within 2 years and obtain within 5 years

Experience:

• Previous Gastro, Infusion, Medsurg experience preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
• Specialized certifications as needed
