Pier Diem RN

Helios Care Per Diem Registered Nurses (RNs) provide skilled nursing care to patients facing serious life-limiting illnesses. In this flexible per diem role, the RN supports comfort, dignity, and quality of life through compassionate, patient-centered care.

• Provide skilled nursing services.
• Educate families and caregivers on symptom recognition, symptom management, and what to expect throughout the care journey.
• Offer emotional and practical support to both patients and their loved ones.
• Have meaningful one-on-one time with patients, delivering exceptional care and creating a lasting positive impact.

Pay Rate: $39.00 - $44.00 per hour

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One to two years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• Current professional licensure in New York State, and a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets standards outlined in Policy:
  Qualifications of Hospice Personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree, with one year of home health care experience. Registered nurses with less than a bachelor's degree will be considered based on previous experience.
• Management experience not required, but supervisory skills preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, basic math skills, and nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position and/or transfer patients; lift supplies and equipment; reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and/or crouch. Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
