Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive healthcare network in Central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full‑time Physician Assistant to provide patient care for our Division of Plastic Surgery.
DescriptionBassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system providing care and services in an eight‑county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community and school‑based health centers, and partners in related fields. It has more than 500 full‑time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians focused on patient‑centered care.

Job Description & Responsibilities- Join an established group of six full‑time physicians and three advanced practice clinicians.
- Responsibilities include independent and collaborative clinics, inpatient rounding and consultation, and assisting in the OR.
- Optional surgical call with $20,000 stipend.
- State‑of‑the‑art ORs with one devoted to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System.
- Some travel to outreach sites.
- Full‑spectrum case mix and diverse patient population.
- EMR – EPIC.
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $155,000. (Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation.)
- Sign‑on bonus up to $50,000.
- National certification as a Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner.
- NYS licensure.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous experience in surgery preferred but not required.
- DEA registration required.
- Individual motivated to tackle new challenges and able to work independently.
