Certification Details
- Position for Inpatient Dialysis RN at Bassett Medical Center.
- Supports adult patients requiring acute hemodialysis treatments in a hospital-based environment.
- Responsible for initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments.
- Collaborates closely with providers throughout patient care.
- Manages vascular accesses and administers medications during treatment.
- Experience with Fresenius dialysis machines preferred.
- Documentation system used is Epic.
- Comfortable working independently in acute care settings with higher acuity patients.
Job Details
- Prior inpatient dialysis RN experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with hemodialysis required.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage dialysis accesses and administer medications during treatment.
- Experience documenting in Epic preferred.
Job Requirements
- 4x10 hour shifts.
- On call: early call 12a-6:30a, late call 7p-12a.
- Rotate Sunday 24 hour call.
- Shift hours: 07:00 - 15:00.
Schedule Information
- Unit:
Inpatient Dialysis RN. - Unit has space for three dialysis beds.
- Focus strictly on hemodialysis treatments.
- Supports adult patients only.
- No pediatric patients.
- No CRRT performed onsite.
- Standard nurse-to-patient ratios apply.
Unit Specific Information
- Candidates should be comfortable working independently in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Supports adult patients only; no pediatric patients.
- No CRRT performed onsite.
- Standard staffing ratios: 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on dialysis unit; 1:1 ratio for patients in Emergency Department or ICU.
