Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Behavioral Health

$20,000 Commitment Bonus (2 Years)

Schedule: Three 12‑Hour Shifts, Full‑Time Days (7:00 am – 7:00 pm)

Location: Maria Parham Franklin – Louisburg, NC

Maria Parham is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Registered Nurse (RN) joining the Adult Behavioral Health team, you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process while supporting a safe, therapeutic environment and achieving high‑quality outcomes.

Provides direct patient care following the nursing process, collaborating with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high‑quality outcomes.

Reports to: Director or Manager of Department

• Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
• Assess learning needs and deliver age‑/culture‑appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on‑call.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• Handle‑with‑Care certification preferred

• Current state RN license and an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
• One year of experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply)
• No call
• Every other weekend
• Rotating holidays

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments, quick learning of multiple clinical software systems, effective English communication, and successful completion of the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
