Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Overview

Essen is currently seeking full‑time and part‑time Board‑Certified Nurse Practitioners across all specialties—including Family, Adult, Women’s Health, Psychiatry, and Hemo/Onc. Positions are available in the Bronx, Queens, and Long Island.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced primary and/or specialty care to patients, performing physical exams, adding to medical history, creating care plans, and administering diagnostic tests. Key duties include:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients.
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient information.
• Document past medical, family, and social histories, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessments, and plans.
• Order or execute diagnostic tests, analyses, and images to assess patient condition.
• Analyze test results and examination findings to determine diagnoses.
• Administer or prescribe treatments.
• Order lab and imaging studies to guide immediate treatment plans.
• Vaccinate patients against communicable diseases.
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Consult appropriate specialists when necessary and refer patients to subspecialists within the network.

• Master’s degree in a Nurse Practitioner program (Family, Adult, Women’s Health, Hemo/Onc, or Psychiatry).
• Current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner.
• National Board Certification required.
• Membership in AANP, ANCC, and ONC preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
