Staff Nurse - Experienced RN - Emergency Department - Nights
At New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Emergency Department (ED) nursing is a moment-to-moment, career-transforming experience. ED nurses independently assess conditions and rapidly arrange multidisciplinary care. From hi‑tech intervention to community trauma care, our nurses identify challenges, comfort families and organize teams when every second counts. As a designated 911 receiving hospital, the facilities include Level I Trauma Centers for both adult and pediatric patients, a Psychiatric Emergency Receiving Center, a city‑wide Burn Center and more.
Across all departments, nurses collaborate with paramedics, physicians and others to employ induced hypothermia, digital radiology and other novel techniques, continuously impacting the future of emergency medical care.
This is a full‑time opportunity, working 12‑hour overnight shifts, with weekend and holiday requirements.
Preferred Criteria- Certifications in: TNCC, CEN, ENPC, TPEN
- Strong Emergency Department nursing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification
- At least 1 year of previous nursing experience
Please note that all roles require on‑site presence (variable by role). All employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Salary Range$133,595-$153,220/Annual
