About This Role
The Head Nurse in Behavioral Health Services is responsible for directing the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients within an assigned unit. This role is ideal for experienced nursing professionals who are skilled in managing patient care and leading nursing personnel.

- Schedule:
Full-Time, Rotating
- Direct the development and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
- Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients.
- Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes.
- Interpret and report patient responses to the health team.
- Participate in planning comprehensive patient care programs with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel.
- Maintain and interpret standards of nursing practice.
- Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
- Experience as a Head Nurse preferred.
- Valid New York State RN License required.
- Annual education differential based on degree:
- Bachelors in allied health discipline = $900
- Masters in allied health discipline = $1,200
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) = $1,800
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) = $2,000
- Doctorate in Education, Nursing Practice or PhD in Nursing (DNP) = $2,500
- Annual certification differential ranging from $1,878 up to $4,878 for recognized certifications.
- Annual nursing experience differential ranging from $1,042 up to $8,645 for up to 10 years of experience.
