The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Cath Lab is a Registered Professional Nurse who serves as a clinical leader, overseeing daily unit operations and ensuring quality patient care delivery in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.

• Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Assist in validating staff members' rounding on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback.
• Conduct rounding of all patients daily when Nurse Manager is away.
• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery.
• Support and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing required;
  Masters in nursing or health-related field preferred.
• Experience:
  
  3 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.

  Certifications:
  
  Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State.
