Certified Midwife, Bronx, NY

• Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to provide primary care services to patients.
• Examine patients and conduct medical tests.
• Analyze records, reports, and test results to prevent and diagnose illness, disease, or injury.
• Prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care.
• Explain procedures and test results and develop a prescribed treatment plan.
• Manage laboratory tests, referrals, and laboratory coordination.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, and other support staff.

• Completion of an approved/accredited educational program for midwifery.
• Pass the examination developed and administered by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
• Valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS.
• Ability to effectively communicate, follow established procedures and protocol.
• Understanding of and passion for community health care is preferred.
