About This Role

The Nurse Manager is responsible for managing nursing practice and operations in designated units, ensuring high standards of patient care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Care Checks and role model expected behaviors.
  • Ensure integration of Care Checks into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
  • Assess staff competency in Care Checks/PHR and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Conduct daily rounding of patients and weekly rounding on staff.
  • Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team.
  • Collaborate with the physician dyad and escalates concerns as appropriate.
  • Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery.
  • Design and support a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.
  • Participate in quality, patient safety, and patient experience process improvement initiatives.
Requirements Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required;
    Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred.
Experience
  • 3-5 years nursing clinical care with Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State.
  • Board certification in clinical specialty or leadership preferred.
