Nursing Home, Director of Nursing, Nurse Educator
A long-term care facility in Nassau County is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Prior long-term care leadership experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations
Oversee risk management, incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up
Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, CMS, and regulatory standards
Participate in QA/QAPI programs and survey preparedness
Review clinical documentation to identify risk and improve quality
Provide leadership and clinical support to nursing staff
Current NYS RN license
Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience (required)
ADON, Unit Manager, or Nurse Manager experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of NYS DOH regulations and survey process
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Salary: $115,000–$125,000k
