Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: New York

Compensation

Sign‑on bonus of $1,500 is available only for Evening & Night shifts. Base pay starts at $19/hr and can go up to $19.75/hr a differential of $20.55/hr may apply based on years of experience.

Shift Availability

Full time and part time shifts from 2 pm to 10 pm, including weekends (day and night shifts).

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience.
License Requirements

Must have NYS Certification as a Nurse’s Aide.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers to/from bed, toilet, chair, stretcher.
  • Assist or feed residents, serve water and nourishment.
  • Offer and remove bedpans and/or urinals.
  • Keep incontinent residents clean and dry; change linens and make beds; replace towels and washcloths.
  • Provide bed baths, tub baths, skin care, hair care, oral hygiene.
  • Assist residents to dress and undress.
  • Participate in bowel and bladder rehabilitation program.
  • Collect specimens, measure intake and output; keep records.
  • Take temperature, pulse, respiration; prepare ice packs or other equipment as directed by nurse.
  • Observe residents; note physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite; report changes or unusual findings to Charge Nurse.
  • Sign aide book at the nurses station before ending duty.
  • Attend required in‑service classes per HOME and NYSAOH regulations.
  • Clean equipment; keep utility and service rooms orderly.
  • Provide assistance with resident care where applicable.
  • Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report accidents or dangerous situations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational and resident information.
