ASAP About the Position Travel Nurse Source is working with LLC to find a qualified Pain Management RN in California!
Key Responsibilities IV Therapy Starting and maintaining IV lines Pain Management Procedures Assist with and monitor patients undergoing:
Brachial plexus block Celiac plexus block Cervical epidural Epidural steroid injections Facet joint injections Lumbar epidural block Lumbar sympathetic block Stellate ganglion block Sympathetic nerve block Thoracic epidural Office & Patient Care Duties Telephone triage Discharge instructions and safety education Follow-up phone calls Pharmacological Management Epidural analgesia Intrathecal analgesia Administration of local anesthetics Professional Knowledge & Skills Recognition of toxicity signs and symptoms Understanding complications of regional anesthesia (motor/sensory block, hemodynamic instability) Pain assessment in non-verbal/non-cognitive patients Opioid safety protocols Patient safety and injury prevention Pain Management Expertise Hyperalgesia Neuropathic pain Nociceptive pain Visceral pain Acute, chronic, and breakthrough pain Assessment Skills Medication reconciliation Vital signs monitoring Pain assessment using:
