Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home settings to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be skilled in clinical nursing practices and comfortable working in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patient safety, dignity, and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
• Assist with patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records
• Support RNs and physicians in executing patient care plans
• Assist in lifting, moving, and positioning patients safely
• Operate and clean medical equipment as required
• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
• Identify, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste per policy
• Maintain knowledge of all facility policies, procedures, and emergency codes
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Physical &

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and other conditions without discomfort
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stretching
  
  Prolonged periods of sitting and standing during shifts
• Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues (with appropriate safety measures)
• Possible exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, or environmental hazards
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed

Education & Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent program
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• LTC / Nursing Home experience required

Licensure &

Certifications:

• Active New York State (NYS) LPN License required
