We are a private mental health practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment to patients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
ResponsibilitiesThe PMHNP will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments, formulate diagnoses of mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. You will prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with evidence-based best practices, monitor patient progress on an ongoing basis, and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated. In addition to direct patient care, you will provide thorough education on diagnoses, medications, and treatment options, ensuring patients are active participants in their own care.
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation is a core expectation of this position, as is collaboration with therapists, psychologists, and other providers when clinically appropriate. The PMHNP will uphold full compliance with all applicable clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards at all times.
QualificationsCandidates must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing and possess board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP is required. An active state NP license in good standing is required, along with a current DEA registration or the ability to obtain one. Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills are essential to success in this role.
Preferred ExperienceWe welcome candidates with at least three years of experience in outpatient mental health or private practice settings, as well as those who are comfortable managing an independent patient caseload. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) platforms is preferred. Above all, we are looking for clinicians who share our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
