About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy position involves providing comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

• Facility: Northwell Health
• Schedule: Full-Time

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain patient safety.
• Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
