Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective infection control protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff

• Conduct staff education programs and provide training on infection control best practices, policies, and procedures

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address infection control issues and concerns

• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control regulations and standards

• Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures manuals

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance infection control practices and patient outcomes

• Stay current with latest research, guidelines, and regulations in infection control and staff education

Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting

• Strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations

• Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
